I was at Smart Corner again today and they have released another phase of condos. The first release, about 40 condos, have been sold (they are accepting backup offers), and they have now released phase 2 and will soon be releasing phase 3. There was one studio available today for $99,000, the majority of the studios are priced under $139,000. They also have several 1 bedroom loft condos available for sale. The Smart Corner 1 bedroom loft condos start at $179,000, with most priced in low $200s.
The condos are a great investment and there is a demand from renters. When the building was new, the developer sold about 1/2 of the condos, and rented the remaining condos. The condos currently being sold were rented the past couple of years, and the tenants who choose not to purchase, will need a place to rent. I’ve met several tenants in the hallways, many have lived there for over 2 years and love it.

Sunday February 5, 2012 is Superbowl Sunday! Looking for a place in downtown San Diego to watch the Superbowl?
If you are one of the lucky residents of Park Place, Bayside, The Legend, Icon, The Pinnacle, Horizons, and many of the other Downtown San Diego Condo buildings, you can probably catch the game in your resident lounge or theater room. I’ve heard there is a Superbowl 2012 event at The Legend on the 7th floor outdoor lounge area. Icon is hosting a Superbowl event for residents on the rooftop Skybox.
